Article VII. Affiliated Governing Bodies

Section 1: Relationship with Affiliated Governing Bodies

In an effort to represent the broad interests of the Kenyon College community, Campus Senate commits to maintaining ongoing relationships with the following affiliated governing bodies: the faculty, Staff Council and Student Council.

A. The Faculty

  1. The Faculty shall bring relevant matters to Campus Senate for discussion as deemed appropriate by the faculty co-chair.
  2. Faculty officers of the Senate will provide relevant updates to the faculty.

B. Staff Council

  1. Staff Council shall bring relevant matters to Campus Senate for discussion as deemed appropriate by the staff co-chair.
  2. The staff co-chair and staff officer will provide relevant updates to Staff Council.

C. Student Council

  1. Student Council shall act as the governing body for all Kenyon students.
  2. Student Council, via the Student Council president serving as a student officer of Campus Senate, shall bring relevant matters to Campus Senate for discussion as deemed appropriate by the Campus Senate student co-chair.
  3. The Student Council president will provide relevant updates to the Student Council.
