1. Brief explanation of Political Science 101-102 course including a description of the readings. Cite different readings based on the candidate's experience, but always at least three different assigned readings by three different authors. Choose one of these readings and discuss how you would go about teaching that reading assignment.

Sample Three - Economics
Greetings: How's your weather?
Introduction
As you know, Kenyon is seeking to fill a one-year visiting position in economics. Our search committee has identified you as one of our top ten candidates. We are interviewing all ten by phone over the next two weeks, and after that we will decide which three to bring to campus for a visit. We appreciate your interest in our position and your willingness to speak with us today. Our position involves teaching 5 courses a year over two semesters. You would teach an introductory course that counts as two courses as it meets all year, and an advanced course and/or seminar in a field of special interest to you. We would like to ask you some questions now, and then leave time for you to ask any questions you might have.

5. Schedule: This conversation has been extremely helpful to us. We will be phone interviewing candidates this week and next, after which we will decide who to invite for a campus visit. During the visit the candidate teaches a class and gives a presentation of current research. (Explain time frame). Will this time frame work for you?
