Expectations

  • Workers will average 15 hours of work for the week.
  • Workers are required to arrive on time for their shifts and be appropriately attired for the day's activities.
  • Workers are expected to maintain polite interactions with guests. This includes appropriate language and respectful demeanor. College administrators and managers will be on hand to assist or relieve workers dealing with challenging guests.
  • Workers are expected to stay in their current residence through Sunday May 18. They should also interact appropriately with the guests of seniors who will be moving into surrounding rooms on or after Thursday, May 15, 2025.
  • Workers may be expected to lift/carry 10-15 pounds.

Note: Be aware that maintenance will THROW AWAY any toiletry items left in public restrooms beginning May 10. Be sure to move your things out of the bathroom and into your dorm room for this final week.

  • Workers are required to obey the rules of the College, particularly during this period of frequent senior celebrations. Workers violating College policies will be sent home immediately.

Note: Workers, regardless of age, are NOT allowed to participate in Senior Week activities. You will be asked to work/monitor them but participation is considered a violation of campus rules, even if you are 21.

Workers will need to be out of their residence halls or apartments by NOON on Sunday, May 18, 2025.

Please start packing between shifts to avoid a last minute scramble.

Note: Some workers over the age of 21 will be asked to work the Provost Party on Saturday, May 17, which will eat up some of your potential “packing time.”

  • Workers may not house other students in their living quarters without the permission of the director of residence life, the dean of students, and the assistant director of academic and ceremonial events.
  • Workers need to inform a staff member if they are planning on heading off campus for a half day or more during senior week.
  • Commencement Week workers will be paid at tier 1 and provided all meals during the period of May 10 through the morning of May 18, 2025

Note: Workers will be required to leave campus by NOON on Sunday, May 18, 2025.
