Update to Sexual Harassment & Misconduct and Discrimination Policies

On Wednesday, July 15, Kenyon announced that updates to the 2020-21 Sexual Harassment & Misconduct Policy and the 2020-21 Discrimination & Discriminatory Harassment Policy are now available.

Date

The 2020-21 Sexual Harassment & Misconduct Policy and the 2020-21 Discrimination & Discriminatory Harassment Policy have been posted to the College's website and are effective beginning today. The behavioral expectations, reporting options, and resolution options detailed within these policies pertain to all members of the Kenyon community. Education and training sessions will be offered throughout the academic year.

The 2020-21 Sexual Harassment & Misconduct Policy went through a significant revision this summer due to the requirements issued by the United States Department of Education, but the 2020-21 Discrimination & Discriminatory Harassment remains largely untouched from the 2019-20 version. Adopted during the 2018-19 academic year, the Discrmination & Discriminatory Harassment Policy was written to provide the same reporting and resolution options as the Sexual Misconduct & Harassment Policy. Throughout the academic year the Civil Rights Office in partnership with students, faculty, and staff will engage in discussion to determine what, if any, changes should be made to the Discrimination & Discriminatory Harassment Policy for the 2021-22 academic year.
