On each Thrive Through Thursday (TTT), staff members from a variety of campus departments including Student Accessibility and Support Services (SASS), Academic Advising and the Writing Center among others are on hand in Chalmers Library room 302 from 11:10 a.m. to noon to support you as you navigate common challenges with college and work-life balance.

This support is designed to be informal (there is also formal support available here); we'll set up art supplies for your planners, provide handouts with guidance on a variety of topics and hang out in the space to answer drop-in questions, look over your planners and give advice. Feel free to ask questions or to work quietly.

Topics we can help you with include: understanding your syllabi, using office hours wisely, writing emails to your professors, managing important deadlines and dates, and discovering resources available to help you get on track and remain on track for the semester. Each week will focus on a different theme, but we will also cover previous weeks' concepts and to answer any other questions you have. Bring a friend!

Feel free to stay for a while or the whole time. If you have to miss a week, let us know and we'll share the materials. The topic for fall 2024 will be as follows:

  • August 29: Using Your Syllabus as a Guide

  • September 5: Support for Procrastination and Time Management Skills
