The Kenyon Equity Institute (KEI) is an intense 5-day training program which focuses on cultivating safe settings for difficult conversations, learning about systems thinking, and understanding systems of oppression, led by the IDEAL Center team from the Science Center of Minnesota. Three cohorts of faculty, staff and administrators have been through the KEI, and we'd like to explore some of its ideas more deeply and with more people.

Join us for the second Kenyon Equity Institute Read, open to all, in which we dive into one of the texts referenced during the KEI. This spring's book is "Race Talk and the Conspiracy of Silence" by Derald Wing Sue, which debunks the most pervasive myths about talking (and not talking) about race using evidence, easy-to-understand examples, and practical tools.

We'll read the book in sections, meeting in person at 4:15 - 5:15 p.m. on March 22, April 5 and April 19. (It's okay if you can't make it to each meeting; come as much as time allows.)

We'll provide a copy of the book; RSVP at forms.gle/n2kKfRLECVRvrZbK9.
