The Kenyon community is invited to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival, a traditional festival in Chinese culture. Similar holidays are celebrated in Japan (Tsukimi), Korea (Chuseok), Vietnam (Tết Trung Thu) and other countries in East and Southeast Asia. Mid-Autumn Festival aligns with a full moon and celebrates the end of the autumn harvest with family gatherings, lanterns and mooncakes.

Our celebration will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, in the Gund Commons Ballroom. Student speakers will share their experience celebrating this festival in their community or culture. We will have mooncakes and tea.

This event is sponsored by Jack Au '73, AMES, CGE, ODEI, Chinese Culture Club, the Division of Student Affairs, the Davison Fund for Student Life, KAI and MLL.
