Sso-Rha Kang is an educator and curator based in Cincinnati. She is the curator at the Carnegie Arts Center. Her research interests delve into areas of institutional critique, blankness, and aesthetic experience. She has curated exhibitions for Wave Pool, the Carnegie, Pearlman Gallery, and the Contemporary Arts Center. She is currently one of two curators for Ohio in the exhibition "New Worlds: Women to Watch" for the National Museum for Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C.
Kang will lecture on recent curatorial projects, including "Memory Fields," which explored the nuances of memory and its uncanny ability to transport culture, traditions, rituals and feelings through space and time. Participating artists included Jesse Ly, Emily Hanako Momohara, Yoshi Nakamura, Migiwa Orimo, Kanthy Peng, Nayeon Yang, and Xia Zhang.
