The Faculty Lectureships Series welcomes Beronda Montgomery, vice president for academic affairs and dean of the college at Grinnell, writer and scientist, to campus. Previously she held a faculty position at Michigan State University where she worked as a leading plant biochemist and scholar on mentoring ecosystems. Her scholarly work focuses on STEM mentoring ecosystems using evidence-based strategies to foster equity and inclusion across higher education.

This talk will be "an exploration of how plant behavior and adaptation offer valuable insights for human thriving."

On Jan. 25, Montgomery will also speak at 11:10 a.m. in the Community Foundation Theater.
