Global Water Dance, a movement to increase awareness of local water issues through dance, provides an opportunity to integrate dance, art and site-specific work that increases awareness of the natural world, and to expand our understanding of community partnerships to the international scale. Choreographers are provided with a template for creating work with dancers and community members regarding water issues specific to their region.

The culmination of this project will be a FREE performance of Knox County and Kenyon movers and a pre-show talk by Heather Doherty of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) at Riverview Park in downtown Mount Vernon on July 28 at 4 p.m. (rain date is July 29 at 6 p.m.).

Sponsored by the Office for Community Partnerships.
