We'll officially kick-off our year of turning 200 on January 8, 2024 (1.8.24).

To mark the occasion, the on-campus community is invited to join President Kornfeld for the official ribbon cutting of Bexley Hall, Kenyon's oldest building made new as a residence for up to 40 students. Join us at Bexley the morning of Jan. 8 — more details to come.

Kenyon will mark its bicentennial throughout 2024 on campus and with alumni and friends across the country. There will be many ways for everyone to be part of this historic moment for Kenyon — and join in the planning now. Here's how:

  • Apply for a bicentennial special projects grant. This new fund was created to invite the creativity and participation of the wider Kenyon community to commemorate the bicentennial.
  • Look out for events on campus and across the country, beginning in January 2024 and including Reunion Weekend in the spring and Founders' Day in the fall.
  • Kenyon at 200: Place and Purpose, a book devoted to the place itself — campus, village, architecture, surrounding countryside — and the meaning of place for the Kenyon family.
  • Alumni can look forward to participating in an oral history project that will culminate with a book of memories printed for this occasion. Stories will be collected beginning in January 2024.
