The Center for the Study of American Democracy welcomes Michael C. Munger, professor of political science, economics and public policy at Duke University.

Munger, who heads Duke's Program in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics and has run as a Libertarian Party candidate several times, discusses how contemporary political alignments have left classical liberals and libertarians homeless in the American party system. What is the classical liberal tradition, and how is it that in modern America there is no longer a political party that effectively represents the interests of those in the tradition?
