Wei-Yi Sun is an accomplished pianist and educator with a deep commitment to the art of teaching and performing.

A dedicated educator, Sun has taught at numerous institutions, including The Ohio State University and Kenyon College, where she currently leads piano students through advanced levels of performance. In her teaching, Sun emphasizes a balance of technical precision, musical expression, and a deep understanding of music theory and history, tailoring her approach to each student’s unique needs and aspirations.

Sun's commitment to excellence in both performance and teaching has been recognized through numerous awards. These include the Absolute First Prize and Expressive Performance Award from the UK International Music Competition (2022), as well as the First Prize at the Women in Music Competition (Columbus, 2020). She has also been the recipient of multiple prestigious awards, such as the Gold Medal from the Forte International Music Competition (2020), and the Honorable Mention in the NTD International Piano Competition (2019).
