Evan joined the staff at the Philander Chase Conservancy in 2025 as the project coordinator. He assists with land conservation and management duties — from monitoring protected properties to procuring new easements — and everything in between. He looks forward to building relationships with the conservancy’s many landowners and partners.
Evan comes from the public sector of conservation, working for several years with Richland Soil & Water Conservation District in Mansfield, Ohio. He has also interned/worked with the National Parks Service (VA), The Wilds (OH) and Tifft Nature Preserve (Buffalo, NY). Evan received a B.A. in environmental biology from Houghton College (NY) in 2018.
In his personal time, Evan enjoys reading, drawing, riding his bike, birding and going on adventures with his wife, Olivia. Evan lives with his wife and son in Mount Vernon.
