Dr. Alice Teall is the senior director of wellness at Kenyon, where she oversees the Health Services, Counseling Services and Health Promotion teams at the Cox Health and Counseling Center. Passionate about fostering a thriving campus community, Teall leads innovative wellness initiatives, supports services that empower students, and promotes strategies to enhance the well-being of students, faculty and staff.

A nurse practitioner, educator and leader with over 40 years of experience, Teall previously served as the director of graduate wellness academic programming and director of the online Family Nurse Practitioner Program at The Ohio State University. Following her retirement from the College of Nursing in 2024, she was honored with professor emeritus status.

Her clinical expertise spans college health, primary care for at-risk youth and recovery from substance use disorder. An accomplished scholar, Teall has authored textbooks, peer-reviewed publications, podcasts, webinars and national presentations on topics such as evidence-based assessment, clinician and student well-being, telehealth best practices and educational innovation. Her dedication has earned her numerous awards, including the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Award for Innovation in Professional Nursing and the Provost’s Award for Distinguished Teaching at The Ohio State University.

Outside of work, Teall and her husband, Tom, call Knox County home. They enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, gardening and boating, and cherish moments with their six grandchildren.
