Inspired by internships and connections at Kenyon, these graduates landed first jobs in the industries they hope to shape.

  • Financial Advisor

    Economics major Michael Asuncion ’22 earned his first job at Morgan Stanley after interning there as a Kenyon student. He is growing his career and building his own community in Milwaukee while staying connected to his college friends and teammates.

  • Data Scientist

    Math major Seth Colbert-Pollack ’19 returned to his hometown of Minneapolis to work as a data scientist for UnitedHealth Group before relocating to the Bay Area to join the team at Picnic Health,  a healthcare app startup.

  • Documentary Filmmaker

    Natalie Berger ’20, filmmaker and writer, applies the writing and listening skills she honed as a Kenyon English major to tell the story of one of the most responsibly regulated fishing industries in the world. 

  • Molecular Biologist

    Biology major David Anderson ’19 is a doctoral student researching gene therapy at Harvard Medical School. He credits his Kenyon professors for introducing him to the program through a summer internship.

  • New York Times Journalist

    Working for the Kenyon Collegian as editor-in-chief helped prepare Spanish major Becca Foley ’20 for her first job with The New York Times, where she landed a post-graduation job building pages for the print edition. She since has been promoted from news assistant to news technology specialist.

  • Communications Manager

    For English major Amy Shirer ’18, a job shadow with a Kenyon alumna at Cardinal Health in Columbus, Ohio, turned into an internship, which turned into a full-time position. Now she works as a communications manager for the Fortune 500 company.

  • Fashion and Costume Designer

    Drama major Lucas O’Brien ’18 channeled his love of design at Kenyon into an internship with Tony Award-winning costume designer Paul Tazewell on “Hamilton." Since then, he's worked as a costume production assistant at HBO and assistant market editor at Vogue

  • Cosmetics Marketer

    Since interning in the sky-high offices of L’Oréal USA in New York City, sociology major George Halliday ’19 has been on an upward track, rapidly moving from marketing associate to assistant manager to his current role, senior marketing manager.

Graduate and Professional School

About 18 percent of Kenyon graduates go directly to graduate or professional schools. Many more pursue advanced degrees after a few years of professional work. Kenyon’s dedicated team of graduate and professional school advisors serve both students and recent graduates.
