If you have a question about parking that isn't answered below or elsewhere online, please contact the Office of Campus Safety.

Kenyon understands that most student parking is somewhat remote, but all lots are accessible and within walking distance. Village ordinances bind the College to restrictions in lot creation. Parking lots also take away from our green spaces, and Kenyon is committed to preserving the natural beauty surrounding us.

Neither Campus Safety nor any single department or division receives the fees or fines for parking or its enforcement. All fees and fines go directly to Kenyon's general fund.

All students should apply for parking when it becomes available in July. Students participating in spring OCS will be charged for a full-year registration ($300) but can complete the Vehicle Registration Cancellation Request Form in December and receive a ($150) credit to their student account. Students participating in fall OCS will have their permit held until January and, at that time, will be charged $150 for registration.

There is not a wait list for a better choice lot. If spaces become available in other, more desirable lots, they are filled based on the date and time of original registration and no tickets. The information is reviewed by Campus Safety and offered to the next student who would have chosen the now-available lot. This review happens only when an opening becomes available.

Campus Safety encourages anyone uncomfortable walking to find friends moving in the same direction, and you also call Campus Safety (740-427-5221) for a walking escort if you don't have a friend available. The walking escort service is provided at any time of the day. The RAVE Guardian App also provides several tools to enhance your safety on campus.

Many northern lots have marked loading zones. You may park in these spaces for a maximum of 15 minutes so you can unload. You must have your hazards on while parking in these spaces.

Kenyon does not allow students to park in faculty/staff lots during restricted hours. Instead, students should contact the Cox Health and Counseling Center, Student Accessibility and Support Services or the sports medicine team for review to be placed on the medical transport.

Students with a handicap placard must park in a signed handicap parking space or in their assigned lot. If you are on the medical transport list, you can contact Campus Safety for medical transport.

Contact Campus Safety (740-427-5221). The number of permits assigned for each student lot equals the number of student spaces. If the lot is full, someone parking in it is not authorized. Contacting Campus Safety allows them to log your information, direct your next steps and alert officers that there are unauthorized vehicles in the lot.

All decisions made by the Parking Appeals Review Committee are final.

As stated in the rules and regulations, fines incurred are the responsibility of the registrant or owner of the vehicle. You will need to request reimbursement from the individual. You should also ensure that anyone driving your vehicle understands the rules and regulations.
