If your prescribing provider is not located in the state of Ohio, you can schedule an appointment with Health Services as controlled substances can not be prescribed across state lines. You will need to provide written documentation of testing or correspondence from the clinician who has previously treated you for ADHD prior to the appointment. Note that controlled substances cannot be delivered across state lines; deliveries to campus for ADHD medications must be delivered to the Cox Health and Counseling Center.

KCH Eastside Pharmacy offers prescription delivery to the Cox Health and Counseling Center for select medications. Sign up by clicking on "Kenyon College Health Center Student Information and Delivery Agreement" at the bottom of their webpage.

Kroger pharmacy also offers delivery through the Kroger app.

The Cox Health and Counseling Center can accept deliveries of specialty and mail order pharmacy prescriptions. Please check with us to ensure that your medication is able to be received and stored at the Cox Center prior to having it sent.

No, if you see a prescriber whether in the Cox Health and Counseling Center or not, you are welcome to have your prescription sent to the pharmacy of your choice and can pick it up directly from the pharmacy. Please see the list of some of our local pharmacies below.

Once your medications are delivered, someone from our health services team will record your medication into our log and will send you a secure message through your student health portal notifying you of the delivery. Please understand the Cox Center staff will open your delivered medications in order to inspect and determine the appropriate storage location for your medication (e.g. refrigerator or locked medication cabinet). Please also know that the Cox Center is not responsible for any damage that occurs to the medication or packaging prior to its arrival.

Your medications will need to be picked up within 5 days of delivery to the Cox Health and Counseling Center and may only be picked up during our normal business hours, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with lunch hour being from noon - 1 p.m. Please also be aware of our holiday or break schedules.

Select prescription medications are available directly through the Cox Health and Counseling Center and can be obtained at the time of your visit. Any prescription that is not housed in the Cox Center will be sent electronically to the pharmacy of your choice.

As of Jan. 1, 2025, Cox Health Services is providing allergy injection continuation for those students on maintenance doses. Serum will be stored on-site in our locked refrigerator, and you are responsible for picking up the serum to take it home with you over breaks.

Allergy shot services require a one-time fee of $50. An allergy injection agreement form must be signed by the student and their prescribing provider prior to the start of injections at Cox Health Services. You must also have EpiPens to bring to each injection appointment.

Your allergy serum must be directly delivered to the Cox Center from your allergy provider’s office via a mail service. The student may not bring the serum themselves.

Any student who needs to dispose of an unused or expired prescription may obtain a DeTerra Drug Deactivation Kit, available through the Cox Health and Counseling Center and Campus Safety.

You are welcome to contact the Cox Health and Counseling Center at 740-427-5525 or through your student health portal via the “Ask a Nurse Practitioner” secure message box.
