Discussion and Dialogue
Kenyon faculty and alumni bring unique perspectives and lived experiences to discussions with the community, and with one another.
On Sept. 16, Krista Dalton, associate professor of religious studies, and Max Dugan, visiting assistant professor of religious studies, held a conversation about Israel and Palestine.
Scholars of Judaism and Islam, they discussed Zionism and Palestinian self-determination through the lens of religious studies. Attendees learned more about the emergence of these movements and their entanglement in religious traditions, as well as how to use humanistic tools to engage in meaningful dialogue.
The Center for the Study of American Democracy welcomed Jim Tull ’85 on Sept. 27 to discuss his experience negotiating hostage releases and mediating high-level international conflicts.
