Is Kenyon’s wait list ranked?
Kenyon’s wait list is not ranked or grouped in any way. When and if positions in the class become available, all active applications on the wait list will be reviewed. In recent years, Kenyon has offered admission to students who are on the wait list. (You must reply “yes” to our offer to remain on the wait list in your portal to be considered.)
Should I send additional information to the admissions office?
No additional information is required. If additional information is required, we will be in touch with you. You may send an email describing your interest in attending Kenyon to waitlist@kenyon.edu.
Can a student place an enrollment deposit at another college while remaining on Kenyon's wait list?
Yes. You may reply to an offer of admission from another institution while remaining on Kenyon’s wait list. Please note, many institutions require a non-refundable enrollment deposit when you accept their offer of admission.
When will I be notified about a decision regarding my status on the wait list?
Most activity on our wait list will begin after May 1 but when other colleges go to their wait lists, there may be a “ripple effect” and a few deposited Kenyon students may decide to enroll elsewhere. This activity can go through until mid-summer. If you chose to remain on our wait list, we will be in touch with you once we’ve determined we will not be able to admit additional students.
If I applied for financial aid, will I receive assistance if I am admitted from the wait list?
Kenyon is committed to meeting 100 percent of demonstrated need for all students, including students admitted off of the wait list. Notification of any financial aid awards will be included with your acceptance letter. If you have any questions regarding financial aid, you can call the Office of Financial Aid at 740-427-5430.
Can I register for a campus visit?
You are welcome to register for a virtual information session, led by an admissions director, to meet current students and learn more about Kenyon. Unfortunately, students placed on our wait list are not able to register for an in-person campus visit due to space limitations during the month of April.
