Temporary Test-Optional Policy
Kenyon has adopted a test-optional policy for all students applying for admission in fall 2024 and 2025. The policy reflects the extraordinary circumstances students faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, including the disruption of testing operations. While ACT and SAT scores will not be required for applicants to the class entering in fall 2024 and fall 2025, students wishing to submit standardized test results for consideration may still do so.
International students studying in schools where English is not the primary language must still submit scores from an English proficiency test such as the TOEFL or the IELTS.
If you choose to submit scores
Kenyon will review applications using either official or self-reported SAT or ACT score results. Please note that Kenyon "super-scores" results for both the SAT and ACT. Please self-report your highest scores when you fill out your application or send a PDF copy of your score report(s) as an email attachment to admissions@kenyon.edu. You will only need to provide your official score report if you are admitted and enroll at Kenyon.
Other Standardized Tests
SAT Subject, Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate results are not required for admission to Kenyon. However, the admission committee will consider results from these exams as a component of your application for admission should you wish to submit them. For questions regarding Kenyon credit granted for results from these exams, please visit the Registrar's webpage.
